Work & Live Croatia is a privately owned mobile and web-based app. It is not affiliated with any government bodies, ministries, public institutions, or official structures of the Republic of Croatia.
All content is based on publicly available sources and curated to meet the information needs of foreign workers in Croatia.
🔹 2. Purpose of the App
The app is designed to assist foreign workers, especially those from Asia and Africa, who are planning to work or are already working in Croatia.
It provides practical, multilingual guidance on:
Employment and workers’ rights
Living conditions and accommodation
Healthcare and public services
Legal documents and registration
Integration into Croatian society
Users can also use the app to stay informed about important news and public announcements relevant to foreign workers in Croatia, displayed via the embedded portal.
🔹 3. Free Use
The current version of the app is completely free to use. If any future updates introduce paid features or subscriptions, users will be clearly notified in advance, and this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
🔹 4. Automatic Translation and User Accounts
The app uses an automatic translation system to support multiple languages (e.g. English, Croatian, Nepali, Hindi, Tagalog, Bengali, Punjabi, and Uzbek).
To provide this functionality, the app automatically generates basic user accounts when first opened. These accounts:
Are created internally and not by the user
Are not linked to real names, emails, or personal identifiers
Exist solely to enable language-specific and session-based functionality
Generated technical data includes:
A randomly generated email address (e.g. user123@email.com)
A random display name (e.g. WLC – 123)
An automatically created password (not known to the user)
These accounts are:
Stored only in the app’s internal database (hosted via Adalo)
Not used for communication, marketing, or third-party analytics
Used to differentiate sessions, support multilingual content, and ensure app functionality
Visible only to the app administrator for operational and analytical purposes
❗ Note: These accounts are not deleted automatically, but they do not represent real user profiles and are never used outside the app’s internal environment.
🔹 5. Location Data (GPS)
The app includes an optional location (GPS) feature used to show nearby services (e.g. police stations, pharmacies, job centers).
Location access is entirely optional
The app explicitly asks for permission
If declined, the app still works (but without showing the current location)
No GPS data is stored, transmitted, or shared with third parties

The app uses Adalo’s built-in analytics system to anonymously count app usage sessions.
No personal data is collected (no name, real email, IP address, or device ID)
Only anonymous, aggregate usage data (e.g. session count) is recorded
The app does not use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel

Users have full control over their experience and privacy:
You can decline GPS access at any time
You can ignore cookie banners when browsing the embedded portal
You can uninstall the app at any time

All supported languages are continuously improved. Some translations may still be automatic in this early phase.

The app updates automatically through the PWA system — users do not need to install updates manually.
